Help me fund the postproduction of a short documentary film about The Long Walk!

As part of The LongWalk, 2011 I embedded award-winning filmmaker Gabriel Miller (www.kindredmedia.com) to capture the participants, art, and environment during the course of the journey. His footage is really stunning. Besides being beautifully shot it perfectly handles the difficult job of being contemplative, humorous, and showing how 50 people can be transformed through the simple act of taking a walk. Gabriel and I started sketching out the documentary which I’ve titled, “Are You Doin’ Some Stuff? A Journey into the Slow Movement Movement.” We are excited to begin postproduction but need your help to fund it!

Luckily, I am pleased to announce that I have been invited to participate in an exciting micro-philanthropy project that USArtist has just launched called USA Projects (you can read this  New York Times article to learn more).

On my project page you can learn more about the project and make a tax-deductible gift of ANY amount – every little bit helps and there are some matching funds available. I have under 60 days to raise $7,000 and I know I can reach my goal with your help! I have great perks (Sock puppets! Personalized walks! A get-a-way in my studio!) available for anyone interested in supporting me in this effort. And, if you can’t support the project financially, I’d love if you could help spread the word by telling your friends about it.

Please help me in creating a document of this temporary, site-specific, public art work that I believe is truly evocative of our time.
